Can I Activate Service With A Carrier-Locked Phone?

A lot of people walk in convinced their phone is useless because it's "locked" to a carrier. Most of the time that's not true. A carrier lock limits which networks a phone can be activated on — it doesn't mean the phone can't get service. As an authorized dealer for Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, Spectrum Mobile, SIMPLE Mobile, Ultra Mobile and Gen Mobile, we can usually get a locked phone up and running in the store.

How it works

Bring the phone to either CellFix location — 1505 E Fowler Ave near USF or 4810 E Busch Blvd Suite A. We check which carrier the phone is locked to and what it's compatible with, then walk you through the plans that will work on it. In most cases we can activate a new line, move your existing number over, and hand the phone back to you working — all while you wait. If your situation is one of the rare ones we can't activate on the spot, we'll tell you straight and explain your options, including unlocking.

• The phone (charged, if possible).
• A photo ID for a new line.
• Your current account details if you want to keep your number.
